Clover RPG’s release-era magic references list seven obtainable types: Flame, Light, Wind, Lightning, Shadow, Beast and Time. Your first type is rolled through the grimoire ceremony rather than selected from a menu. The documented chances range from 22% for Flame and Light to 1% for Time; rarity alone does not establish combat strength.

The role column summarizes the described kit, not a measured DPS test. The roll chances total 100%; they describe the published table, not a guaranteed number of rerolls.

| Magic | Published chance | Described role / limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Flame | 22% | Burn pressure and weapon follow-ups; Amplified Wrath improves M1 attacks against burning targets. |
| Light | 22% | Offense with Divine Light healing and the unlockable Divine Field support option; the heal has a documented 60-second cooldown. |
| Wind | 20% | Aerial movement and displacement; Aerial Efficiency reduces airborne Wind spell mana costs by 30%. |
| Lightning | 15% | Spell-and-weapon pressure with mobility tools; no claim of a guaranteed combo is made. |
| Shadow | 15% | Delayed pressure, slowing and tethering; Shadow Tendril’s documented 50-second cooldown limits repeated setup. |
| Beast | 5% | Close-range pursuit and aggressive attacks; a melee-looking spell is not automatically proven to scale with physical racial bonuses. |
| Time | 1% | Control, repositioning and recent-damage recovery through Rewind; boss immunities and orb details need separate checking. |
How magic connects to your grimoire
The release-era route begins at level 15 with Arcane Whispers and the Wisdoms Peak ceremony. The first-grimoire guide supplies the complete portal and Announcer sequence; older level-10 footage describes a different progression state.
Obtaining a magic does not automatically give you every passive used in a ranking. The Grimoire Echo in the Inner Realm teaches passives with separate point and Marks costs. For example, the original magic guide lists Wind’s Aerial Efficiency at four Points and 300 Marks.
Keep Intelligence and Magic Power distinct: Intelligence increases maximum mana, while Magic Power increases magic damage. The published descriptions do not establish a universal damage formula.
Variants and extra names
The sources describe variants as cosmetic appearances. Do not pay for a color variant expecting extra combat damage. Variant inventories differ between guides, so this page does not present one merged catalogue as complete.
The community configuration reference lists Spatial at a zero obtainment weight and leaves it outside the seven obtainable types. That record is not a promise of a future release, nor a playable eighth option in this comparison.

Keep a useful kit before chasing rarity
Light can suit a player who needs offense and healing; Wind rewards spending time airborne; Beast offers pursuit at close range. These are use-case distinctions from the described abilities, not proof that one wins every matchup.
For actual ranked opinions and their reasoning, use the magic tier comparison. It keeps each author’s criteria separate. A paid reroll is another random result, so a stronger-sounding tier label does not guarantee an upgrade.
If you decide to replace the element, use the Magic Reroll item procedure. A cosmetic variant is a separate change.
